Raita Recipe



Raita is an Indian/Pakistani side dish of yogurt containing chopped cucumber or other vegetables, and spices. Usually enjoyed with curry dishes.

Ingredients for Raita Recipe:

  • 250ml yogurt
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Method for Preparation of Raita Recipe:

01Roast the cumin on a dry skillet until it gives a pleasant aroma.

02Mix salt and cumin in the yogurt.

Cook's Tip:

You can add the following things for variation:

  • 1 grated/diced cucumber, tomato and onions
  • 1/2 grated beet
  • 1/2 boiled, mashed eggplant
  • 1 large potato boiled+diced
