Restoran Sri Nirvana Maju is one of the very popular Indian-styled banana leaf restaurants serving a huge mix of Indo-Malay dishes. The cooking style of most curries and meat dishes has a rich Indian influence with the use of Indian aromatic spices used across all parts of the country. The extensive menu offers a good mix of curries, vegan dishes and fish dishes cooked in various styles.

I have visited this restaurant several times during my trips to Kuala Lumpur city. Bangsar Village is a happening place with plenty of shopping outlets and foodie joints catering to all price ranges. Bangsar can be easily reached from KLCC or Bukit Bitnag area by taxi or ridesharing.
How much does an average meal cost at Sri Nirvana Maju Restaurant?
An average meal at Sri Nirvana Maju will cost under RM 20. However, if you want to try a mix of their popular dishes keeps a budget of RM 30 per person. Simple noodle dishes are priced under RM 10. This restaurant can also be a stopover for a quick bite as plenty of people working locally visit this restaurant on regular basis. The vegetable meal costs (RM 9.5), deep-friend chicken (RM 7.5) and Mee Goreng (RM 6).
What kind of food is served at Restoran Siri Nirwana Maju?
The banana leaf menu is served with rice served over green banana leaf, and a mix of popular items including curries, daal, vegetable pakora and a choice of meat curries you like. The choice seems endless, as the one-page menu lists chilli mutton, boneless chicken, and coriander chicken made with different spices.
If you like deep fried food meat dishes, fried satong (squid), red snapper, pomfret or tenggiri fish can is served, deep friend.
I enjoyed a serving of mutton curry poured over rice and deep-fried fish and chicken served on the site. The vegetables including beans and okra are cooked to perfection and mixed well with the curries.
If you are up for local noodle dishes for a quick lunch, Keow Teow and Mee Goreng can be ordered with a mix of popular local drinks or hot Teh Tarik. I simply loved the food at this place and am sure to keep it on my list for my next trip to Kuala Lumpur.
